While in grad school in Savannah, I kept getting calls for work, balancing projects with classes until I realized I needed to make things official, not just for organization but to protect what I was building. Naming the company after myself didn’t feel right, so I chose Graf, an old family name from my mom’s side, originally Graf before becoming Graef after coming over from Germany. At the time, it was just a practical choice, but looking back, it was the perfect fit. Graf Studio has never been about one person, it’s about the team. The goal has always been to create something bigger than a single name, where a group of creative, talented people design and build great projects together.
